Saildrone and Umoe Mandal formalized a production deal for the Surveyor uncrewed surface vessel (USV), combining Saildrone’s autonomous technology with Umoe Mandal’s shipbuilding and composite manufacturing expertise. The partnership aims to strengthen Europe’s maritime defense capabilities, particularly in the Baltic, North, and Arctic seas, while ensuring sovereign control over operations and data. The Surveyor is designed for long-endurance monitoring of maritime activity and critical undersea infrastructure. Both companies will explore further collaboration to expand manufacturing and support for Saildrone platforms in Europe.
